In July 2010, I was selected by the San Francisco Arts Commission to design an 18,000 square foot terrazzo floor. My design has been approved, the AutoCAD construction documents have been produced, terrazzo samples have been made and construction is slated to begin February 2012. I’m honored to have the opportunity to create a large-scale, permanent piece for SFO and the City of San Francisco, and I look forward to sharing photos of the construction process.
CCA Andratx Residency, Mallorca, Spain, Spring 2013
The CCA Andratx Art Centre is dedicated to the creation and exhibition of contemporary art. To the general public it offers a unique cultural experience, whereas the studio program is open to national and international artists. For more than six years, CCA Andratx has been a production place and a platform for artists. In conjunction with the presentation of high-profile international contemporary art by CCA Kunsthalle, CCA offers an artist-in-residence program. Over 100 artists from 20 different countries have already benefited from this program.
I’m eagerly looking forward to the residency and the opportunity to visit Spain.

This suite of six prints evolved from my recent group of twenty-four paintings, collectively titled Inverse Studies. The prints are a continuation of my interest in creating self-reflexive formal systems that contrast the digital and handmade; in this case, more pointedly, due to the use of free painting combined with digitally designed elements, and the subsequent deconstruction and reconstruction of those elements via pigment and screen printing processes.
